Snake charmers in India make the cobra serpent keep time with their musical instruments giving rise to such ideas as their having a fine sense of music. Some charmers claim that they can call the serpents forward from their places of hidings even against their(serpents'will but these claims have not been borne out. It is not unlikely that the cobra keeps moving its head from right to left as the charrmer moves his musical instruments basically from fear that the charmer out to harm it. For Snakes
have no external ears, but they do have a bone called the quadrate under the skin on either side of the head which focuses sound into the cochlea.[2] Their sense of hearing is most sensitive to frequencies around 200–300 Hz

NO, they have no ears, so they are deaf. But they can feel vibrations. Maybe stay off of heavy bass beat with huge sub woofers and you should be ok. I listen to music turned up to a moderate level with my snake in the room all the time and I have never been able to tell that he can detect it whatsoever.

Snakes do not have ears neither do they have moveable eyelids.Sure they have good vision but they do not hear airborne sound waves, rather they can perceive low frequency vibrations(100-700Hz) transmitted from the ground to the bones of their skull.

Snakes don't have ears like humans or other mammals, but they do have a sense of hearing -- not exactly sure how their hearing works, but I believe they have patches of skin that are like tympanic membranes near their eyes...

Alright...Yes they do have ears but they are internal. They hear up to about 50 decibals. Not amazingly good hearing but yes they have ears.
