Sometimes it comes on quickly and sometimes it takes 4,5,6 minutes. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT I AM DOING WRONG?

Check the HP website for updated drivers. I believe that it's taking so long because the computer doesn't exactly know WHAT the mouse is.

Or a faulty mouse... Call HP tech support -

Erm, i am not sure what you mean. Do you mean when you switch on your computer that it takes some time for your mouse to respond? If that is the case, it looks like your Windows XP (I am assuming you are using this) is not detecting your mouse, or that it keeps installing the mouse driver (software thingy, shoud auto detect). If that is the case, go the the manufacture website for the mouse and find the latest driver. That should cure the problem. If it doesn't, then something wrong with either Windows XP or your new computer. If you have like a keyboard or any other mouse, try plugging it in. It could also be your wireless mouse. Try plugging it in another computer.

for a start it is a piece of computer eq and it does not have a personality and the other thing it is a crapy HP

could be defective mouse
could be the batteries are dying
could be you need a new driver
