I want to check the applications being run on an other computer remotely. Can you explain ?

I use Windows XP SP2 and the client system also has Windows XP SP2

You can use the "tasklist" command at a command prompt.

Type tasklist /? to get the full range of options.

You can see running tasks as listed in Task Manager by using this command on local or remote computers.

I take it you have remote access to another pc.
To check out what applications are being run look on at the icons in the bottom right hand corner of the screen that shows all programs open on that machine. If you want to check programs installed click on start , my computer and check the hd

click on start/search
click on all files/folders
type in the search box
taskmgr then hit search
your see a computer icon name
taskmgr
right click on it click on copy then
right click on the desktop
click paste
then close off search box
click on the taskmgr icon
then click on the
applications tab / and processes /tab
