and God said...Let Us

many times in Bible

Jewish Star was the symbol of male and female as one

the Kabalah goes into greater details and same with the Zohar

I personally think 'god' has no gender and is not some super being, but within and is what we try to describe when we communicate with us

the same "let us" happens in story of Tower of Babel, this time to send confusion, but the moral of the story is by having these dang computers that translate for us across our former god given confusion story of babeling, supposedly if we work together there is nothing we cannot achieve...

so let's push past the fundamentalism and be a social liberal all loving person as we read Jesus was.. and 'bump' the rest

let us may also be unlimited continuity and the energy like a lightning strike by bridging the gaps and causing things to happen, thunder, fire, rain, change, movement, wind, evolution, progress.....

Silly people, this is the problem with religon, everyone takes it so literally, hence all the fundementalist left wing religous bigots taken pot-shots in this forum.

The phrase "in his image" refers to the soul and not the physical shell. The shell has no value and is meaningless (it is but a moral coil), and while the shell may have sexual identity, the soul does not, it is genderless. Unfortunatly, that's just my view but its a pretty sound one don'cha think.

Cheers!

Who said that meant GOD looks like humans. Could mean we're just the image that GOD liked.

Different people see the divine in different ways. Some worship as a single being. Others a dual-natured being. Still others devote themselves to an entire pantheon. We all see the divine in different ways.

Sex and gender are two different things.

Sex refers to chromosomes and anatomy (and there are certainly more than 2 sexes, there are over 30 infact)

Gender refers to ones social identity. (And there are many more than just two genders, as well as nongendered people.)

To quote myself as well as bdsmyth, souls are not gendered.
