Look for an internet explorer shortcut somewhere..right click and select "pin to start menu". You can also right click on your taskbar, select properties-->start menu-->customize and then choose Internet Explorer as your default browser in the pull down menu. Both the options will work well and there are numerous others also which many of the other people have proposed.

right click and hold on the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop. Drag it over to the start button. When the menu pops up, move the icon to where you want it. Let go of the button and select "Create Shortcuts Here". If you drop it directly into the start menu (ie not in programs) it might not ask you, it will make a shortcut by default.

Right click on start button and select properties , click customize and check if you have the internet check box ticked if not just tick it and you have the short cut on the start menu . An other option is to just drag the IE shortcut from the desktop into the start menu.

Right click the start button. Then click explore. It will go directly to your START MENU directory. Copy the links you want into that directory.
That should do it. Hope this helps.
