An example -the other day I saw a worse-than-terrible sitcom called "my hero" on ITV where some guy who used to be funny on Father Ted is supposedly from outer space and it is bascially a rubbish rip off of mork and mindy. Then I thought, that must be someone else's favourite tv show in the whole world!

Anyone else do this, or do I just think too much, when I should have just changed the channel?

Someone must like it otherwise there wouldn't be spinning out yet more new seris's of it. This time with the camp one from Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie as the alien. The fact that you didn't enjoy it shows that you have a more mature sense of humour and yes you should have changed channels, also you are thinking to much about it, which isn't a bad thing but you shouldn't dwell on it to much otherwise you'll be looking out for it in the next lot of tv listings.
And yes we all do it, we sit and watch or read crap that others think are brilliant. Just look at other peoples taste in music!!
Have fun

Mork and Mindy was great, and no doubt it's a golden untouchable... My Hero isn't that bad, as the cheap and tacky feel is intentionally added in. I find it a fun watch if there's nothing on.One man's garbage is another man's treasure, or so they say.

Yeah I do this all the time. I don't like most shows and then I think,, it must be on the air and someone else must like it a great example is seinfeld. my dad, and brother LOVE it but I think it's the DUMBEST show ever! I think it's pointless but they say that is exactly the point.

All the time - I remember when I was younger and my mates were starting to get their own places and TWO of them started COLLECTING the entire set of that awful octagonal Eternal Beau crockery and kitchenware.

i couldn't understand it - it was the epitome of naff to me.

one of them still has it 15 years later. eek!
