Like most commercial concerns, they will charge whatever they can get away with. People keep paying those prices so they keep charging those prices

Yes it is so damned annoying, I've never bothered with a credit card and always used cash to pay for things up front, but because of the flexibility of the Internet I decided to get a 'put your own cash on' credit card so I could do stuff from the comfort of my own home, what a rip off these companies are, they want 2% for using a card then a damn booking fee on top of it, its costing me more now than it has ever done, so its back to cash for me.
