HP 2400 series printer copier and fax. I have installed/uninstalled it many times and still getting errors?

Just purchased the HP 7580 and trying to hook this printer which has been nothing but headaches since I know very little about computers. I keep getting error 1706 and a message with PS Printer 08 not found. Any idea what this is or how to fix it
