Yes. Good thinking.
We Americans have a problem of being too nice to our enemies. And we suffer for it.
Some even worry about civil liberities for the terrorist murderers that we have captured.

No way to know now. But I think it serves Bush's agenda more if he's put on trial.

For anyone interested in 9/11, the war in Iraq, etc., check out this website: http://www.wanttoknow.info/9-11timeline6...

The troops should have taken pictures of him sitting in the hole to show the Iraqis how mighty and powerful the chicken **** actually is. We should have been using that as propaganda. I wished we could have also shot him or parade him around town while he's crying and wetting himself. The only problem with shooting him is he'd be a martyr. The courts should be doing a better job discrediting him and showing the world what an idiot he is.

Definitely not, the world needs to know the reasons for all the crimes he sanctioned, people whose relatives have still not discovered what happened to their loved ones need answers.
I think the Americans who captured him showed terrific restraint and proves that they do not kill just for the sake of it.
Had they just killed him we would all be in a worse state than we are now.
The same applies to Osama Bin Laden, they should be tried for their crimes and the world needs to know why, then after a fair trial they should be executed in a humane way.
Well done to the yanks.

Up to a point, maybe.

However any trial for human rights abuses opens the way for furthe prosecutions and serves as a warning to other heads of state who believe they can behave in that manner and get away with it (far too many do).

How dare you ask such a question.
Where would it end?
The serial killer, shoot him don't bother with the trial.
The child molester,
The guy who drives at 90 mph in a 60 mph speed limit.

Those obnoxious little sods who broke into my home and stole the hi-fi and computer equipment.

Yes, in retrospect it would have been better if he was shot on the scene. He wouldn't have his platform to mouth off at the trial, and a couple of judges and attorneys would still be alive.
