I would personally go with a toshiba or sony but everyone to his own choice. Think carefully on what you want out of a laptop /
Do you want it for school or office work or to play games. If it is to play games you need one with a seperate graphics card not a shared one When you decide shop arround and get one with a good name that will do the job

I have a toshiba tecra 8000 in the closet at home, 5 years old, with probably a million hours of use, and still runs as good as the day it was made. I can't give a better endorsement than that.

As a Toshiba user, I would not hesitate to recommending them to others. It's an older model (Satellite 4200), but it hasn't broken down in over 2 years.

Dont buy toshiba atleast ..i know many cases where toshiba laptop gets crashed after a while.
