If I save a webpage in the normal way in Internet Explorer, (as an HTML doc.) and then procede to open it, I get the message: 'Windows cannot open this file'. It seems to get saved as an ASP file (?) instead of an HTML Doc. Any ideas on how to solve this?

From Explorer, do VIEW SOURCE, then save that page as INDEX.HTML and reopen INDEX.HTML

I'm not exactly sure what you are doing. But give it the extension HTML or htm. So your home page will be Index.htm or Index.HTML. Whether it is HTML or HTM depends on the server you intend to upload to. When you click on the Index.htm the web should work - as if it was uploaded. In fact you can use a web design program to do a web and rather than upload it put it on to a CD as an electronic "book". Take a look at NVU for doing web pages - may be easier - it's freeware.
