It doesn't have to be a line. For example, in a movie called 'Ghayal' (Wounded) the police officer hit a student's glasses off his face and the hero of the movie picked them back up and put them on the student's face, even though they were broken. I thought that was an intelligent marxist moment and still remember it. What about your moment?

So many. But I love the scene in Bergman's Fanny & Alexander, when the old Jewish antique dealer tells them a story and looks straight at camera for the entire thing without moving or blinking. Mesmerising.

And also the dance scene in House of the Flying Daggers.

Leon (directed by Luc Bessoin). Gary Oldman plays a corrupt DEA chief. There is a scene where he is about to raid an appartment with his team. He pauses in the corridor outside the appartment and takes a pill from his pocket. He tosses the pill in the air and cracks it open with his teeth. We hear the crunch as the pill cracks. With an ecstatic look on his face he says "I love the calm before the storm". What follows is a orgy of killing in the appartment.

Cyber City Oedo 808...the last thirty seconds of the 3rd OVA...Benten's story...I consider it one of the most beautiful endings in anime...simple...powerful

Plague Dogs...the last three minutes of the animation...

Iron Monkey...the flashback of the nurse to when her baby was stillborn and the pimp wanted her to go right back to work.....

Meet John Doe...the last ten minutes where Barbara Stanwyk tries to convince Gary Cooper not to take his own life...whew! They just don't make movies like that anymore

Here comes Mr. Jordan....The last three minutes...Robert Montgomery and Evelyn Keyes bump into one another after the fight is over andthe conversation that takes place....
Movie magic at its best...

Lost Horizon...Ronald Colman tells Jane Wyatt....

: "You know, when we were on that plane, I was fascinated by the way the shadow followed us. That silly shadow! Racing along over mountains and valleys, covering ten times the distance of the plane, and yet always there to greet us... with outstretched arms when we landed. And I've been thinking that, somehow, you're that plane, and I'm that silly shadow. That all my life I've been rushing up and down hills, leaping rivers, crashing over obstacles, never dreaming that one day that beautiful thing in flight would land on this earth and into my arms."

Sugar sweet...enough to make my heart beat all funny....I miss that movies like this will never be made...ever again...and that truly is a shame...
