If it would bring back every memory in your past since birth...? There is an atidote, but it will cause total memory loss.

It isn't an hypothetical question. There is a memory spray.

There is an inhaler. It is available is Europe, and in the USA for off label use. Off-label it is being used for Alzheimer's patients, although it is supposedly for a type of diabetes.

I will take it when it is approved for memory restoration by the FDA. I would also like some follow up methodolody to deal with some very painful memories.

Addendum: Spare me the PMs. The synthetic is called desmopressin and the organic is called vasopressin. It's a shame it isn't available to more Alzheimer's patients. It is an effective treatment. It wears off, so it isn't a cure. If I wanted it badly enough, I would go to a legitimate doctor in Europe to obtain it rather than the internet.

No probably not because I don't find I'm missing any chunks of memory. The details are all kind of fuzzy but think thats how its supposed to be so what would be the point. Don't remember period dirrectly after birth but really not much interesting coulda happened I layed around and drooled a lot I'm sure. :P

Upside? I would remember every moment with loved ones I have lost. I would remember what my Grandmother sounded like (she's been gone for 11 years and I can't remember the sound of her voice). I'd remember all the good stuff.

Downside? I'd remember everything my father and uncle did to me. I'd remember all the horrible taunting in school. I'd remember all those times I was alone, left out, ignored, depressed, numb.

I don't think I'd like to remember all those bad times. What I can remember now is hard enough to deal with as it is. Sure, I could stand to have a few more good memories, but I don't think I could handle knowing all of the bad.

I think i'd like too, coz like I only seem to mostly remember all the poo stuff that happened to me.

Unless of course only poo stuff ever happens to me, in which case I must be toilet, and if so the less aware the better, thank you.

However looking back on past diaries is shameful, so I'm gonna have to change that answer to can I just have the antidote?

I think I'll leave my memory as it is....convenient recall.

No way. Most of it, I wanted to forget. Wouldn't want to relive it.
