How about giving the newspaper? You can contact your local paper and go back and have them find a copy of the newspaper that was printed on the day you were married. I managed to keep the paper from the days of my children's births. It is kind of neat to look back and see what was going on in the world on that special day.

How about dressing up in some newspaper panties (a sort of home made lingerie) and let him "read you." Or give him a paper condom (home made again) to put on just before you do it. Be creative!
Make a paper airplane and put some airline tickets to a weekend getaway in it and fly it across his path and the dinner table. Then the two of you use the tickets and get away!!

Yes buy him a new car if needed and if not buy him a necklace with your initials and picture of it. It will show him that he is definitely hooked and after all it's both of your anniversary.

a renewal form.every year the two of you could decide if you want to renew the relationship or cancel it. that is different and each time the time is drawing near each of you will start to wonder if the other still wants in or not. could keep you guys on your toes,just an idea.

Not really unusual, but I have found websites that are able to make "picture" calendars. All you have to do is send your pics in and they make one for you. It's not too expensive, like $20. Pics are paper. You can make it sexy, or just maybe pics of your pets. :o)

I gave my husband an adopted monkey in Guatamala Zoo...he loved it altho i suspect 20 dozen people also have adopted the same monkey!!! go figure

how about tickets to a concert??? or plane tickets to somewhere special??? or a booklet of tickets for anything he wants for that weekend (free "get me a beer, woman", free "anal sex", free "bj", things like that)...
