Before you, start graded my **** spell checking and all check your, there is no need to check my spelling or country grammar so keep them kind of comments to yourself… Now, my eyes are open why would Kanye say something like that about the president when mainly black people was around there stealing stuff from Wal-Mart other stores too I know they were tryna survive but televisions come now what the hell... The hurricane Katrina people should've thought for a minute to put up a survivor kit there was like foods, water, blankets all in them stores all some of people help us , ... And I clearly understand that some was really in bad shape and shouldn’t receive help along time ago. However, the people that was healthy that was stealing televisions, radios, and microwaves, come now why not borrow a boat... Sometime as we, the people need to stick together, help other out instead of depending on the governments to make a move to do something… You want something done do it yourself.

Kanye West is a worthless ignorant idiot! He didn't give any money nor any of his time in helping the people after Katrina. As for New Orleans, pathetic...

I live in south Mississippi and it was a whooooooooooooooooole different ball game over here. We were picking ourselves up while the people of NO were pushing each other down.

First of all Kanye West just said what most people were thinking at the time. Second how can you judge the Katrina people, you weren't in their shoes and you don't know what their experience was like. Maybe you should keep your comments to yourself.

Are you talking about the comment he made shortly after Katrina?

Didn't he complain about how when the media showed white people taking stuff from shops they were "looking for food" but when they showed black people doing the same they said they were looting?

I did see such reports on TV myself (on CNN I think), images of people looking for food and medicines and other necessities and the white people were "looking for food" and the black were apparantly "looting", although the pictures showed them all doing pretty much the same. Now, of course there were also people stealing stuff like electronics, but I don't think that's what Kanye West was talking about. Unless I missed something.

Kanye seems to be another short-sighted celebrity looking to get in the spotlight.

I agree with you that we should not rely on our government to hold our hand and guide us through problems. We have to take the initiative and do it ourselves. Assume that no one will help you. Yet, don't be so heartless to not help others in need.
