Not every American do. Some like it, some don't care for it. Most of the time, the ones who disliked are ignorants, who don't know anything about football soccer. But there are this kind of ignorants all over the world, who dislike baseball and American football without knowing anything about them.

For those who dislike soccer, they just don't agree with the rest of the world. Soccer is, by statistic, the most loved sport in the entire world.
I personally love the game. I play and referee soccer. It's the best hobby I've ever gotten into.

Wrong! It is only the macho type that enjoy jumping on each other in a pile that don't like soccer! I love soccer and have little to no use for football! Those are the people that describe soccer as a non-contact sport that dislike soccer. They have no class obviously. Just macho dog piling!!!

Not all Americans dislike soccer (football). I happen to love the game and know a few other Americans that love it too.

In order to play soccer, you have to be physically fit. Anyone can play baseball--overweight, underweight, whatever. The percentage of fit Americans is alarmingly low.
Americans generally like football and baseball. We've already covered the baseball topic. As for football, endurance is not really a prerequisite. They do a little something then stop then do another little something and stop. Also, because soccer is such a dynamic game, there is too little time for commercials; thus, the powers that be do not promote televised soccer, and, let's face it, if it's something you can't watch on TV, it's not likely to get too popular with your average Joe/Jane.

Not all Americans dislike soccer. I just don't understand why more people don't enjoy, or at least know more about, every main sport? I try to keep as informed as possible on the main happenings in the main sports, and I never call a nationally recognized sport stupid.

Soccer as you know it hasn't been marketed properly in the US...That's the main reason why soccer is not popular yet in the USA..Football and basketball are # 1 amongst Americans...

Americans are very dynamic people. Football looks and feels more dynamic than Soccer. The difference is obvious.
