I am a cub Scout leader and we are having an Indian theme night and I though it would be good for them to learn a traditional type of game rather than the usual games we play.

You may want to specify whether you mean Native American or Indian. Since it's the Scouts, I would guess Native American, but just saying Indian on an internationally used forum would indicate those from India. If you mean Native American, you may want to specify the region since there are many different tribes with many different customs.

gotta be kabaddi, not sure of the rules exactly, but its a team game with hand holding and shouting kabaddi kabaddi kabaddi, think british bulldog. 1 player tries to break through a chain of several others, we did it in our school (lots of indian kids) and it was ok. hmmm havent thought about that in a while....
