About 2 years ago, my right eye and left eye started to make cracking noises all the sudden while i was smoking marijuana and I thought "wow , i didnt know eyes could make this noise." Later on that day, I looked in the mirror and noticed my right eye got lifted upward and got bigger than my left eye.And my left eye looked like it kinda got pulled down and smaller.Im not really sure what happened but i feel very imbalanced and out of touch with myself. My life is totally gone.I cant act or feel like myself anymore , i dunno why.Since then Ive seen 4 opthamologists, 1 neuro-opthamologist with 2 mri's done, and all the doctors said they cant find anything wrong.Ive also quit marijuana 1 year ago, and noticed some improvement but i can still make my eyes crack if i tilt my head or turn my head.I have a feeling this happened because I was smoking marijuana and thinking very very hard about something and i remember it very clearly. This has really destroyed my life and nobody is able to help.

You may want to visit a naturopath that does iridology and kinesiology. If you don't know one, and would like to find one, please visit http://www.trinityschool.org. They have graduates listed by state on their web site. Please feel free to email me if you'd like more information.

Unfortunately without being able to do diagnostic testing, it's going to be extremely difficult to figure out what is wrong, but maybe a list of known effects may help you get to the right medical specialist.

Marijuana contains well over 400 different chemical compounds, most of which have negative effects on the human body which is the primary reason why its banned. These chemicals are poorly understood and it isnt' known why most of the effects it has actually occur. The best understood chemical is THC and that isn't saying much.

Chemicals in marijuana can:

Destroy nerve tissue.
Cause cancer that are many times more potent than those found in tobacco.
Raise blood pressure.
Reduce intra-ocular pressure (the pressure of fluid inside your eye)
Induce permanent chemical psychosis
Directly affect neurotransmitters in the brain
Impairs your bodies ability to fight disease

Right now, I can only speculate what may be causing the problem, it could be that the sound you're hearing is caused by pressure changes in and/or around your eye which is affecting your actual physical sense of balance.

It is also possible that you have permanently damaged a nerve cluster that is causing the sound as well.

The feeling of disassociation could quite possibly be explained by chemically induced psychosis (a disconnection with reality) which would explain the feeling of being 'off balance' that you describe.

I'm sorry to say it, but there is possibility that if you've suffered neurological damage from smoking marijuana that it's permanent or at the very least, will last quite a long time till your body can recover. But quitting was probably a good plan for your overall health and recovery.

I hope that everything gets better for you.

This sounds like something that acupuncture treatments would be helpful for. They may not be able to cure the condition, but a skilled practitioner should be able to ease some of the symptoms.

I'm quite sceptical that the smoking marijuana itself could be a direct cause of these symptoms. However, it is interesting that:

"Advocates of medicinal marijuana cite evidence that hemp products can lower intraocular pressure (IOP) in people with glaucoma. However, these products are less effective than safer and more available medicines. Most research regarding marijuana use took place before some current medications with fewer side effects were available.

The high dose of marijuana necessary to produce a clinically relevant effect on IOP in the short term requires constant inhalation, as much as every three hours."

You don't mention whether your eyesight is affected in any way or not. Suggest you add in that information.
