There are many local trains from Howrah. Firstly one should not put such question to this forum. If at all you ask it should be specific. For calcutta there are two stations. Howrah and Sealdah (Supposed to be busiest railway station in the world as it consists 3 sections to 3 directions.)

For southern stations like Diamond Harbour, Lakshmikanatpur, Canning, Baruipur etc. you have to get train from Sealdah south
from Sealdha Central you get trains to Dumdum, Barasat, Bashirhat, and other places. From North Sealdha and Howrah (Eastern Railway) you get local trains to Bendal, Dhakshineswar, Burdwan, Kalyani, etc.etc. And from Howrah (South Eastern) trains for Midnapur, Karahpur, Haldia, etc. can be had.

Apartfrom the above it is difficult to give any other details without knowing you requirement.
