She has had the darkening for about 6 months or so.

She sleeps about 9-10 hours a night and doesn't nap during the day.

She isn't bruised and the circles aren't caused by an injury.

Is there possibly something missing in her diet or isn't she getting enough sleep?

I plan on talking with her doctor next month, but thought maybe someone could give me advice on what I could do now.

im almost 19, and ive always had dark circles under my eyes. I read once when i was younger it means you have to drink more water but noone drinks more water than i do. i seriously carry that 1.5litre water bottle with me, :) dont worry. its either she just need vitamin supplements cuz shes not getting something, or that its just genetic . Mine have somewhat improved over time. If it doesnt improve for your daughter she could always use dark circle eye creams when she grows up. my cousin uses them, she says theyv made a big improvement.
But i think its a lack of vitamins. buy some children vitamin and make sure she takes them everyday with her main meal.

you know sometime when it it cool in the room or the air arround her eyes is cold enough to make them dry it is sometimes hard to get good sleep oh she might get some sleep but not quality sleep ,aybe give her a extra cover at the foot of the bed and tell her she can pull that up if she needs it and warm the air in her room some see if she sleeps longer and adjust her nap time at night to morning
for a week see if it helps I suggest this to my brother who is a dosctor and he has 4 kids and I do not. He was like I got to spend money now! cause my youngest daughter has a sleep dis-order and I told him my idea he tried it and it worked with a modifcation a bottle of saline solution to keep the eyes moist too
his daughter my neice sleeps 12 hours on avgerage which is a little longer but her eyes are looking a lot better

the heck with next month if this has been going on for 6 months she should have seen a doctor 5 months ago. and if you couldn't get an appointment, use the emergency room. i'm not judgeing you, just the medical profession as a whole. does she take vitamins every day? does she eat good blanced meals? is playing or does she just want to lay down. how okd is she?
I HOPE that it is something lacking from her diet. take care, and try to get her in to the doctor sooner if you can. may God Bless both of you. i'll remember you in my prayers
