buddy, i would advise you not to open an account in any private sector banks. there are a hell lot of hidden charges.

open an account with PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS and the charges will be minimum.


SBI
Corporation Bank
Canara Bank

use the services of these. SBI is the best with a huge number of networks :)

just go to neaby branch with a person who have already a/c in icici bank with 3 passport photo and any proof of resi addressand minimum 1000rs to open a account. the person who comes with you must put introducer signature in application form.with out introducer you cannot open a/c in any bank

Go to bank's website apply for it ..site is www.icicibank.com
or visit ur nearest branch and ask bank representative
u need documents like
Passport Xerox
Voter's i card Xerox
Proof of residence Xerox
Employment Proof
1 passport photograph

well to open an saving account you need...
1) 2 pic
2) Application form for saving account wich you can get it from bank
3) you personal identification i.e. pan card or driving licence or voter card or passport copy wit the address page.

You can do it online. Their Coustumer relations are really good. If you encounter any problem, they respond as soon as possible. At least that is my experience.
