uefa will accept most of the former ussr nations, and this is why kazakstan and others get in. it's a footballing instution, it can draw its own lines on what europe is

the main reason israel is part of uefa though is because arab nations refuse to play against them (and for good reason). most of the middle east doesn't recognise israel or its right to exist, and believes it to be an illegal state

If you look at the geographical position, Israel is at the hub of Europe, Asia and Africa without really being in any of them.
(Many old maps showed Israel as the centre of the world).
FIFA chose to put them in the Europe as that was the easiest solution politcally.

And no country should be in the Eurovision!

many Arab nations in the AFC do not want to play with Israel so the best solution is for it is to join the European as they are the one who created the country by doing this they also help the harmony in both continent

The Israel national team has a history of being shunted from one continental association to another... due to religious differences it became all but impossible for them to remain in the Asian confederation, as teams were refusing to play against them, so UEFA allowed them to become members and to play in all European club and national competitions.

Something to do with the fact that they shoudl be in the Aisia qualifying zone, but the other Arab teams will not play against them. UEFA said they would let them into their confedericy and ther clubs.

Same can be said for Turky too I suppose though.

I think she is a Eastern European country. Although she is located so close to many Asian countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc.
