I have been in that kind of situation myself...but now it's you to know what to do.Do you have any kind of feelings for him?
If not, then be true to him. It hurts to tell your friend that things can't work out between you while you have been friends for as long as you can rememmber..
With romantic feelings your friendship will change to something maybe you are not ready for.
Be honest and sincerely tell him how you feel cause there is no reason of getting into a relationship with him due to pity..you will end up hurting him even more.
In my case i told my friend that friends will always be there forever no matter what..but relationships might come and go and i didn't want to loose him as a friend if things didn't work out between us.
Hope i have given you something to think about, so..make a wise decision and stick by it.

what is ur gut feelings about him being in love with u. does it feel like a good thing? or does it feel like u just want his friendship? sometimes childhood friends turn out 2 b the 1. but sometimes u just end up losing a very good friend. it is better 2 b liked than to b loved. just take it real easy so that neither of u get hurt and u still have his friendship

in my opinion you can accept his love, as he has been u r childhood friend he is the would have understood u after u r parents he will know u r likes and dislikes and he is the only one could understand u very much. but my friend i can only advice u the decision should be made by u because u r the one know him in person.

It really is up to you what you do ... do you feel the same way ?
I am sure you wouldn't want to hurt your childhood friends feelings so if you don't then you need to consider how your going to break it to them and still retain the relationship ...

try to find out with urself if u also love him? if u feel yes than go ahead but in case u feel no than be very honest nd straight forward in telling him, so that it gets clear to him and at d same time does not affect ur friendship with ur childhood friend. all the very best

If you are not intrested let him down lightly, If you are sure he likes you and you like him back and neither of you are with someone why not give it a try...There was a guy I knew when I was in highschool that was In love with me I made the mistake of not doing anything about it we lost touch for a long time and I just started talking to him not long ago unfornatly he is married now..I wish i had told him how i felt then

How do you know he is in love with you? Do you have feelings for him? If so then pursue the relationship. If not then tell him you don't have the same feelings.
