The stains are not hurting you rabbit -- they are clean animals and yes, they will clean it off to the best of their abilities themselves. Forget all the above advice, bleaching, scrubbing --- those stains are not hurting them and you should not be concerned about such vanity which may actually HURT them. DO NOT use down Dawn, hair shampoo, bleach or anything on them, worst case scenario, you frighten them, hurt their skin, leave residue on their body, leaving them to lick it off, ingest and get sick -- and it would all be the sake of human vanity -- your bunny doesn' t mind yellow feet one bit ;)

I have run into this problem in my rabbitry with my white rabbits. It seems like everytime I am getting ready to go to a show they all end up with stained feet. There are a couple of things that you can try that have worked for me. One is to put some peroxide on them and scrub that around, then rinse off. The other is to get that purple soap that old ladies use to keep their hair from getting a yellow tinge (you should be able to get it from a beauty supply store) put that on the feet and let it set for awhile, then scrub and rinse. You might have to do it a few times to get the stains completely out. You should never fully submerge your rabbit in water to wash it, they really don't like water and it can be quite a struggle. To clean off their whole body you should lightly mist them with water and towel dry them. Rabbits are usually pretty clean animals and their feet and bottoms are really the only thing that you should have to watch to keep clean. Also be sure to keep the cage very clean, this will cut down on the urine that they are sitting in which causes the yellow feet. I hope this helps you.

It's not recommend to give your rabbit a bath the dyes and perfumes in the water cold hurt your bun since they have very sensitive skin. Also leaving your rabbit wet and cold could make it sick. Obviously its not wise to blow dry. So they feet are yellow, its ok. Is your rabbit on a wire floor that could be the problem. Maybe you should try and change the litter to wood stove pellets they absorb very well.

Apple cider vinegar will take the stain out. If you bathe your rabbit you need to use a shampoo that can be used on a kitten and dry the rabbit down to the skin quickly after being bathed. A blow dryer on the cool setting works great.

Try using either John Frieda's Sheer Blonde Shampoo or Clairol Shimmer Lights shampoo. I offered this to a woman who had a white horse and the tail was stained. It must have worked, since she didn't come back and tell me it didn't. It is a safe way to get the fur back to the color it was without dyeing it. With anything being used on an animal, always check with your vet before you use it. I have seen results with Sheer Blonde and it was amazing.

Yellow stains are normal. Just give them a bath when they smell. Rabbits tend to clean themselves pretty well, so don't give them bath too often.

i have a drwaf rabbit ( polsih draft )
she had the same thing, she cleaned it off herself.
most rabbits hate water, and u must be careful because a rabbit can take a heart attart if they get scared.
i would let her clean the stain off herself as rabbits are clean animals.
hope this helps.

My rabbit "Peanut Butter" has yellow feet also. We tried to give him a bath once. It didn't work out well. It doesn't seem to bother him at all so we don't worry about it.
