It could be a sign of Diabetes. If you are older it is called late onset and also is headed as type 2.
You must see a doctor where you will be given blood test under controlled conditions and the diagnosis will be correct. If you are over weight this could cause the diabetes if indeed that is the problem or if you drink too much coffee etc during the day this could be a cause of the constant need to pass water.
If you are diabetic do not think that your world has ended as with correct diet and some exercise it can be controlled to a point where it has almost gone away. There is not always a need to take drugs or have insulin injection.
SEE A DOCTOR.

I go at least once a night which is so annoying. More than once is a bit strange. It could be a weak bladder, drunk, drank a lot or a combination. Try doing pelvic floor exercises and try not to drink in the hour before you go to bed. If that doesn't work, see your GP.

this is a very commmon, if not the first sign of diabetes. im a diabetic and if blood sugars are not controlled properly then i can go anywhere from 3-10 times a night. i dont mean to freighten you but you should probably have your blood sugar tested about an hour after eating a bar of chocolate and then diabets may be ruled out!

The best advice I can give is to really cut down on your intake of fluids after 8pm at night, and limit your intake of caffeinated drinks, such as tea, coffee, coke, root-beer etc as caffeine is a diuretic (makes you wee more!)
If there's no improvement after a few days then pop along to your Doctor just to get checked out.

Do you drink alot during the day??
Maybe you could have a bladder infection and need antibiotics or try, I know this sounds weird but, when you go to the toilet during the day try stopping mid flow by tensing your muscles and then relax again so your bladder and muscles Will become stronger so then you shouldn't need to go so often during the night.
Gd Luck...

Yes lots of people do. If they are on water tablets for high blood pressure then they go a few times every night. Do you drink beer? could be that's the problem. Try water instead

I myself get up at least once per night to use the bathroom. And sometimes twice. BUT garanteed at least once. Yes, been to the doctor BUT I wouldn't allow him to do the intensive or should I say intrusive examination he wanted to do. So I guess I'm stuck with the problem.

Yes i do but i think it is because i have children and it has weakened my bladder also i am a light sleeper.
You will find it better if you try not to drink any cafine or alcohol later on in the evening. Hope this helps, good luck!

If I drink tea after 10pm I go to the loo a couple of times in the night. Its because its a diuretic.
