A brightly coloured playmat or playgym with detachable toys, different textures, and a mirror, babies love to look at their reflection.

Depends what you are after really! Are you looking for something to help her development or just an old fashioned play thing? There are some really good things on the market for all age groups - try the early learning centre they have some lovely things for babies and young children which are reasonably priced and hard wearing.
They give brilliant advice and most of the things you buy from there will last for any other kids you may have

Toys and rattles are great for that age group. Another nice thing that my 5 month old uses is a play gym.

Anything with color and noise.(not balloons at this age) A baby loves to play with mirrors (ones that will not break), pots and pans, and other household items. Just keep in mind that if things have buttons or other small objects, keep it away from her. I found a few sites here to look at for toys too. Have fun shopping this weekend and believe it or not let the baby shop too. Her eyes will light up if she sees something that interests her. My son was about 4 or 5 months old and his eyes lit up when we passed a colorful teddy bear so I got it for him.

A play gym would be nice. They can lay under them and look at all the toys on the gym or when they are able to sit up they can sit up and play with it. My son is 3 months old. We bought him a baby leap frog. He loves it. It sings the alphabet song and whenever we turn it on for him he smiles and "talks" to it. We also picked up a rubber ducky for him that squeaks. This is by far his favorite toy! Everytime we squeeze it he gets really excited.
Good luck!

We got our twins a Fisher Price Intellitainer. I don't think they make this anymore, but our babies would sit in the middle and play on one side and as they got older, they were able to move back and forth and from one side to the other. There's lots of buttons and things to touch and move with music and lights.
The exersaucer was our second choice.

A playnest. They are colourful have all different textures. You can get added babygyms. Supports them in sitting up and is comfy if they fall asleep in it. I got mine from mothercare they range from £30- £50.
My baby (7 months) also has an activity centre he can sit in, its stationary with lots of activitys.
Forget about walkers and those bouncy door hanging things I ve known little people to have bad accidents in those.

My son loves his Whoozit by the Manhattan toy Company. I got mine from E-bay but you can get them in Babies R Us, its £14.99. He has had it since he was four months old, and still loves to play with it.
