A boy was expelled from my daughters school recently and his mother went to the local papers. "It is the schools' fault! My son is a good boy!" etc etc. My daughter just said: "He's a bully, rude to the teachers and I'm glad he's gone."
Wouldn't it be good for parents to be able to see how their children behave on tape, how well their kids are being taught and how disruptive the classes are?

As for kid's being stifled by cameras - we get so used to cameras that we no longer notice them. Think of reality tv. Sorry but I hate those yobbos who are depriving my child of an education. I want them out of the school.

As a teacher, I would love to have a cctv in my classroom to record behaviors. I agree that parent's should not have access to it all the time due to the privacy laws. However, not many things are more frustrating than having a parent who doesn't believe their little 'cherub' could be getting into trouble. Hard proof would be fantastic.

It's the last thing teachers need. They have enough to worry about with out pushy parents telling them off for telling their precious child to sit down and do their work. What is wrong with parents today? Teachers dont have the time to tell children off or deal with problmen kids so they don't look for it. Most of the time we wait until things have gone too far with the child in question before bringing in the head or removing them from the class.

I think CCTV in classrooms is a great idea, however, I do not think that parents should have access to the data unless there is an incident and it is disputed. Under Data Protection laws, CCTV images can only be used for the purpose for which they are intended, for example, if the purpose is security and anti theft, then these images would not be allowed to be used unless a criminal act had been committed. Also only certain parties have access to the Data, so this would have to be stated in all signs relating to the CCTV equipment.

No, children need to be able to develop the social skills they do in schools without having parents watching them from their desk top.

If parents could view the CCTV camera's then children would be victimised and their parents harrassed. It would not be a case of big brother gone too far but a case of parents becoming their own police force.

Also there would be child protection issues over watching children for that amount of time and if they are at primary school, most children at primary school get changed before and after PE in their classroom.

Where CCTV camera's would be acceptable would be in corridors, store rooms, office's, etc, places where children and adults have access to resources.

CCTV camera's would also be acceptable to ensure the security of the site, but not to monitor behaviour.

In my school we often video a whole class and in particular focus more on a child who is disrupting the class, we video in short spurts over several days.We then use this by privately showing the child the video and asking them to comment on the whole video generally then ask them if they noticed any difference between themselves and others. Usually the child finds it an eye opener to see themselves acting as others see them and try hard to curb their behaviour. This is usually done with consultation of parents.

His moms and dads claims would nicely be in part authentic, if he has no authentic structure or basic at domicile then he would conflict with dealing with one at preschool, a similar is going for the outcomes. no longer being waiting to talk in his community language would nicely be because he's scuffling with getting to entice close 2 languages at the same time - you stated his community language is eastern/Korean. it really is probable getting aggravated through his having to study english at preschool aswell - this would persist with that he merely makes grunting noises as he has no language skills interior the language the classification is taught and would nicely be perplexed as to in case you communicate both of the languages he speaks (especially in case you do not seem Asian) this would also be the clarification for his behaviour as he seems to have restricted communique skills so has to motel to habit like taking toys. The throwing up is probable a coping mecahanism he has learnt as you probable call his moms and dads to come back and get him even as he does it accordingly getting him remote from the surroundings he's less than pressure being in. The section about him no longer being waiting to chew or swallow is somewhat atypical. the in worry-free words different little ones I have seen with those issues are little ones who've had a actual incapacity which has affected this means or little ones who've some variety of food phobia or situation it really is many times by using their progression in that section having hit a plateau or being behind agenda because it really is a reaction adversarial to the moms and dads. it appears that evidently he's behind agenda in quite some parts and doubtless will no longer be being helped through the more beneficial stress the preschool is putting on him. no longer understand-how different youngster's thoughts would nicely be a caution signal for Autism or Angleman's syndrome. attempt giving those reality sheets to the moms and dads and see in the journey that they could see any of those factors of their son. or you should go with the help of them at preschool. you could also advise to the moms and dads that in the journey that they are waiting to get their toddler assessed to be certain if he has particular desires that you'll nicely be able to get someone who works fullyyt with him which may be certain that his desires are met and that the different youngster's desires are met because the unique crew:toddler ratio will then be restored.

If a child is playing up I think it would be a good idea to gather evidence also to show to the governess as they often don't back up teachers on expulsion. But I do not think it would be beneficial all the time

i dont think its a good idea.... there has to be some boundaries.. school is the only place a child can be without being watched by hawks by their parents... some actyually behave better at school that they do at home.
