Manolete - but some say the bulls were substandard in his day, having been starved and many good ones killed in the civil War. He died in 1948.

Jose Gomez Ortega aka Joselito el Gallo (gallo means rooster in Spanish).He was killed by a bull named Bailaor in Talavera de la Reina on 16 May 1920 ,he was 25
