Here is my workout philosophy, if the machine ain't screamin in protest, I ain't ridin it hard enough. if I haven't ran, ridden, or stepped it straight into the junkyard in shambles, well, that is a goal not met!!

I do the very same thing in my aerobics pool. Until the windows along the wall are ALL wet, it just doesn't count! I don't cheat and just throw water at them either. I have to splash so hard with every jog, jumping jack, and riding horse the the windows just get splashed from the waves I make.

Seems like other don't like to work out in the pool when I'm there, but I don't care. Those pansies!

Not deliberately. But I have broken several pedals on stationary bicylces. And I broke a weight bench by lifting too much.

My preferred exercise is swimming, followed by free-weights, then stationary bicycles, with the occasional stair stepper.

Haven't be able to exercise much lately, but am looking forward to getting back into free-weight soon, and hopefully the stationary bicycle.

My little philosophy is "If I'm not given it 100%, my full potential, I'm wasting time and space". Not much of a motto, but it get me through a workout. Every gym junky has a self motivating motto.

I don't really get your philosophy.
Personally I work out daily with a personal trainer. Our program includes aerobics, pilates and lately we started practicing capoeira as well which is great!
