i want to get a new electric guitar. I'm 14 and ive been playing for about 7 months (almost...). Im getting pretty good now... I dont know wat kinda guitar i should get. My parents are gonna get it for me for my bday, so nothin too expensive!
I want one with a fretboard that will be easy for me play, because my hands arent very big and alot of guitars make it really hard.
Can anyone reccomend anything?

watching alot of Disney and Nick are you? It's no wonder you play guitar since most of the preteen/teen girls in shows on those networks do. I also know that it is common for people your age to want to play musical instruments.

I like Washburn and Carver the best. They are made well and are relatively inexpensive.

Epiphone Les Pauls aren't very expensive and have a slightly shorter neck (scale length...look it up on google) than fender stats and telecasters. Fender mustangs or cyclones also have shorter necks. You will likely find these easier to play.

I had an epiphone Les Paul as my first electric guitar. They are OK. It was a good guitar for me as a beginner. I now play a Squier Telecaster primarily...its a cheap guitar (Paid $115) but since I know how to work on guitars its been heavily modified.

I would take someone with you that plays fairly well, and hit the stores. You can both play them and listen and get a feel for what you like. You don't have to buy right on the spot. This will give you a good sense of what you like.

my first guitar that i've purchased was a fender strat pack. it came with an electric guitar (with a smaller fretboard so i can play it easier, i have small hands too), it also came with a soft case, amp, wammie bar, instructional movie, electric tuner and strap. it was only like two or three hundred bucks, which isn't bad for all that, especially for a fender. i bought it at Sam Goody, but i also saw it at my local music/instrument shop, but for like fifty bucks more (and at same goody i had reward points that i ended up getting like 15-50 bucks back in coupons. i dont remember how much; it was a few years ago.)

Daisy Rock Guitars - they are tailored toward people with smaller hands and girls - check them out. If at all possible, try one out in person ans if your nervous about playing a guitar in front of other people - take someone with that plays, have them check it out too. Have fun!!
