The only way you can do it is to put a card with USB2 ports into your pcmcia slot....take my advice dont bother... PC world put one in for me. It does not run at the same speed as USB2 on a computer with USB2 as standard. I know someone else who has done the same thing via a pcmcia card & he agrees with me.
So I now have a computer with USB1.1 & USB2.0..To be honest I cant really tell any difference & if there is any difference, its neither here nor there.

Most likely no. The USB is built onto the system board in most and very hard and dangerous to replace or change.

I'd suggest a USB2 PCMCIA card

No it isn't. Your only option would be to chase a PCMCIA usb2 card and use that. You also need at least Windows 98 SE to install USB2 and even then it may require updates.
