It is a white discharge that has often been compared to cottage cheese. It is odorless so, if your discharge has a smell then it's something else. You can get yeast infections from antibiotics. If you eat yogurt while taking antibiotics then it can help prevent, but it is not a cure. They have over the counter medications, like creams. Your doctor can give you Diflucan, which is a pill you take once to get rid of it.
I also want to add that the very first time I got a yeast infection was when I was pregnant. The doctor told me that pregnancy can cause yeast infections.

Yeast infection... The primary symptom is a white milky vaginal discharge. Mild at first, it gets thicker and ickier if not treated.
If you have been on an anti-biotic, they kill off the good and bad bacteria in our bodies. I always get it after taking an anti-biotic.
Eat yogurt with live cultures in it. That helps put back healthy bacteria. Taking acidophiles pills might help also, they contain the same bacteria. There are tubes of Medicine in the feminine hygene section to treat it.
Keep wet wipes to use regularly in the bathroom. A mild vinegar douche should help also.
No it's not a sign of Pregnancy. It's just an unpleasant infection. You will get it many times through life, usually without knowing how.
Just be careful of who and how you have sex.
There are much worse STDS than a yeast infection.

Many women get a yeast infection often, the most common sign is the feeling you have to pee right after you just went. I never heard it being a sign of pregnancy. It is easy to cure with over the counter medicine but if you think you have one then you should see your Gyno. Look here for some other information. http://www.brown.edu/Student_Services/Health_Services/Health_Education/general_health/wh_yeast.htm
