In the world as we know it, the definition of a virgin is a girl or woman who has not had sexual relations and has her hymen intact. Therefore if there has been artificial insemination that didn't break the hymen, I would think this would mean that pregnancy has occured and the woman is still a virgin.

Yes actually, I watched it on CSI a few weeks back. If you've never had sex but you've had a fertilised eye planted inside of you then you're still a virgin but you're still about to have a baby. Now I know the saying goes; don't believe everything you see in the media but this seemed pretty real.

Like the story about Lazarus, apart from one reported case, I do not think it has ever happened in history. Medically it may be possible to get pregnant if a man ejaculate outside a female but near enougfh to the vagina.

For an egg(ova) to split and to grow male sperm has to be present. If it splits on it's own and grows it can only be a female child. How or whom changed the genetic outcome of the egg?

There've been precedents when obstetricians had to do surgical defloration before delivering
the hymen is not solid, so penetrating sex is not necessary, it's enough that sperm contacts the girl's genitalia and it may be carried through the hymen and she may conceive

tho such cases are rare
