Whos cars are they, you never actually see anyone drop them off pick them up,or settle a bill,
The only people in the square that have a car are Dot and Jim,charlie and the new family that have moved in,i can't imagine them having to get their vehicles serviced every monday tues and thurs
Do these mysterious car owners simply vanish?it's beginning to feel like an episode of Lost DUH,DUH DUH lol

Have you noticed in all these soap operas, they spend most of their time in the pub ( Queen Vic, Woolpack, The Bull ) But a lot of the story lines revolve around people having no money?
Curtstuttgart,
That reminds me of the ill fated soap "Crossroads" . Noele Gordon, the actress who played the part of the owner of the Crossroads motel used to get lots of letters from people asking her advice on 'how to run a motel,' or they were 'thinking of going into catering, where do we start'. She used to say "I know NOTHING about running a motel, I am an actress" If people confuse fiction with reality what chance have they of running a business?

There is something about Eastenders that keeps you coming back for more and more and more!
Maybe they are working on the actors own cars, but then again I wouldn't fancy and actor working on my car.
I guess we will never know or you could get in contact with the people behind Eastenders at the BBC. They might be able to explain it! :-)

I am not really bothered by this,
I really love Eastenders.
This is the only soap that I watch, It has a lot of gorgeous men in it.
And it covers real amazing story lines.

Could be a personal project of one of the garage workers while business is slow.
Or a hole in a simple plot element.

are you confusing fiction with reality?
the cars are PROPS.
the actors do not own the vehicles.
'phil' does not actually fix the cars.
