If you know how much money you are wanting to save, and how much time in which to do it. You can divide the amount of money by the time. For example: If you want to save $1000.00 by Christmas, which is 14 weeks away. Take 1000 divided by 14 = 71.43 So you would need to save roughly $72 per week.

You can do this in a notebook or on an Excel spreadsheet. You would use columns labelled "date", "amount added" , and then you would have the last column be "total"

Sept.15 $72 $72
Sept 22 72 144
Sept 29 72 216

etc.
