please tell your personal view. i feel keeping email option disabled you are hidering chances of getting some good feedback too.
though i keep email and instant massages both open. though i can understand opening instant meaasage sometime create difficulty by non-serious chatters.

one can easily delete offensive emails, if some people think of protection.

i believe it is a private stuff that you need to get a permission first to the owner... if most the people will do send good feedback email as you do then perhaps there will no be problem at all, but hey some users might send you annoying words you can't take of.

It's good for you if you get nice feedbacks, but I know someone who's had a bad experience with it. She recieved nasty mails from strangers. So I think it also serves as somekind of protection from blabbers.

they have their own reasons...i'm sure about that...some are just scared if people are pissed off by what they've answered...some...i don't know...maybe they thought it's for safety...i haven't any problem with keeping both enabled until now

Because they give &*&&**** answers to quite sensible quetions and dont want the asker or anyone to hit them wid **&&&****responses
