Don't go there! There's a lot of funny business goes on in 'modelling'. Do you know, for example, that these two were not the same girl? Or that they maybe weren't who they said they were but this photographer instead?
You were attracted by the money. That's greed.

I suspect that the numbers quoted are vastly inflated. The only truth you probably received from your contacts is that the photographer wants to have sex with you. I would stay away from these people. The picture they paint could be mild compared to the truth. You could end up in another country as a sex slave or forced into prostitution. The internet is a very very dangerous place.
As for the money, I think I saw a number of shows on the cable TV Biography Channel, where porn stars spoke of making something like $300 for a porn movie. I also believe I heard others claim they got $500 for a Playboy photo shoot. So, if that is true, then I would be very suspicious about the $25,000 and $8,000 numbers you were told about. They are most likely BS pie in the sky numbers used to lure people into a trap that could eventually cost them their freedom and possibly their lives.
Be wise, avoid these people.
If you want to make good money, and you don't have an education or money to get one, here's what you do. Try to figure out what you would enjoy doing that would pay you enough money to be able to live a happy life. Then go to a university and ask to speak to someone who can guide you. When you are introduced to such a person, tell him/her that you want an education but you don't have any money. Then say "How can you help me achieve my goal?"
I met a guy sometime ago who said he did that, and they figured it out for him. Go for this instead. And stay clear of those perverts on the internet.

First of all, models rarely make $25K, or even $8k, for any modeling session (nude, playboy, or anything else). However, a guy can claim anything and offer anything. Therefore, if a guy approaches, claiming to be a photographer with some company or organization, offering money or not, check him out by directly contacting the magazine, company, or organization, he claims to work for. To avoid damage to their company's reputation, they will be very happy to tell you whether this guy is associated with them or not.
As for photgraphers and models sleeping together, it obviously happens. Some guys, in any career or profession, will always try to get a pretty girl into bed, making any claim whatsoever to accomplish that goal. Photographers, and people posing as photographers, are certainly no exception - especially so if their main focus is on adult oriented material.
However, most reputable photographers in other industries (fashion, advertising, and so on) rarely sleep with a co-worker in the industry and often instead insist on a female assistant in the studio during all sessions with female models. In fact, with many modeling agencies (those handling the real models earning top dollar), that is a firm requirement with any unknown photographer.
Ultimately, you can easily be a model without joining a modeling agency. However, your safety and security rests solely in your hands. It is up to you to exercise caution and a whole lot of common sense. You can start by copying the professional modeling agencies - check out the person claiming to be a photographer, demand a female be present during the session, and so on.
By the way, one more thing. Playboy does not use independent photographers. They have a paid staff of photographers, familiar with their specific needs, who travel around taking pictures. The last I heard, the going modeling rate was about $250-500 for a single picture used in the magizine, $2.5k for a photo spread, and $4-5k for a centerfold spread. Video and other rates vary. Celebrities could be paid more, but many pass up the money in favor of the increased publicity.

It sounds like the so-called "model" you talked to was no model at all, but was actually the "photographer" himself, trying to lure aspiring models into sex. He's probably not even affiliated with any modeling agency. Probably just wants to screw hot chicks and take pictures while he's at it. Can't blame a guy for wanting that, but what a despicable way to go about it.
Professional modeling doesn't require sex. Whoring does. Don't fall for these bastards. If anything, report them.

No. it`s a criminal offence and if convicted the photographer will be punished according to the law of the country. However, if both are of legal age and are BOTH consenting, what happens before or after a photoshoot is their private business. There is no need for any model to believe the only way to gain modelling work is via the casting couch.

It can be worse...In my country models not only sleep with photographers but also are used for Escort Service and high level prostitution so be careful because money is a temptation for many girls but eventually it will ruin their lives.

They don't sound like very professional photographers to me. If you're posing for smut it's one thing but if it's tasteful nudes it's completely different. I'd keep looking until you find a better deal unless you're willing to get the easy way in.

As long as you're not actually considering doing this, does it matter? If you are thinking about this as a possibility, again, does it matter?
If you don't love yourself enough to see something like that and just ignore it from now on, well, I suppose you'll have to make the choice and find out for yourself.

It sounds to me like it is exactly what it looks like. I am sure that there are plenty of women out there that would sleep with a guy (or girl in some cases) if they thought it was going to be their "big break" into show business. Best I can say is hold to your own standards and dont give into the "casting couch".
