There have been so many irregularities and fraudulent voting ploys executed in the US that few trust the voting system at all.

We are not having our will honored through the voting polls. It is a tragedy of the first water.

Umm - lately I have to say 'The War on Terror'.

The majority have not read or comprehended Orwell's Animal Farm, which seems to be used as a textbook for the American and Australian governments (being the Pigs that is).

I find it annoying when people complain but do not vote! People should learn the policies, find out about the views of the parties, and vote with who they truely want to see get in. The world would be a different place entirely if people voted with their BRAIN.

Most people can't be bothered getting actively involved in things. I have to say that they deserve to be lead around by populous leaders - its just annoying that those of us who do work to change things and get involved with politics and lobby groups get dragged along for the ride.

There's always the idea that many (possibly the majority) of people don't vote at all, but the politicians that get elected are just the ones with the majority of those votes (no matter how little votes there are).

Also, people can only vote for what's on offer, whoever is running in the election. People can resort to voting for the lesser of evils.

Democracy is all well and good, but how truly democratic are democratic societies?

And no, I'm not a "commie" :)

America's Politicians No longer represent even the minority of Americans in this country. Honestly I'm convinced that all these yahoo's get together and vote each other into office. I don't believe our system of Government works anymore.

George Bush is a complete loony and I can't imagine that the Majority of Americans share his viewpoints.

good observation. I think even voters who feel they are informed have little idea of how the day-to-day operation of the government will be affected according to the election of one candidate of another. People ***** because bitching is a stimulant. This is why people undoubtedly get involved in office politics and other miserable human phenomena.

We vote because we are hoping to change things with a new person in office, but it does not always work out that way.

Brothers have differences among brothers.
But they can still sleep, eat and play together among brothers on planet earth.
So that is why they always get themselves voted in on planet earth.
