I want to take you higher by Sly and the Family Stone captures the hedonism. Fish Cheer - feel like I'm fixin to die rag by Country Joe MacDonald, Freedom by Richie Havens and Joan Baez's Joe Hill recall the political idealism of the time. It's hard to top Joe Cockers's rendition of A Little Help From My Friends for the tear jerking hippy joy of it all.
