No we aren't safer.

Actually we are in more danger because of the enormous amount of terrorists Bush has created by invading and turning Iraq upside down. He is also agitating terrorism with his bullying of Iran.

The problem with his war on terror is that it will never really be a war that you can declare victory or not. It is a war on an ideology and fighting it by force is the wrong way to beat it. Force only re-enforces their reasons to hate and hurt us.

And don't forget that in December, 2001, Bush removed the USA from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty... that's long range nuclear missiles. Countries like North Korea, took that move as an act of global aggression. That is why you see countries that Bush announced were on his 'axis of evi' wanting to obtain nuclear defenses.

An excellent and valid question.

The threat of terror has increased tremendously over the last five years. The attacks on Iraq by the Bush junta have fostered terrorism and led to an influx of new recruits to the terror organizations around the world. In 2001 the Al Queada terror network had approximately 18000 members worldwide. Today they sport a hefty 180000 followers. And that is just Al Queada. Other terror organizations have experienced huge successes with their recruitment effort since we have shown the world that we enjoy unilateral wars for profit.

The Bush junta has made this world a more dangerous place and have failed to deliver on their promise to stop international terror. We all can recall George W(orthless) Bush grandstanding on the rubble and declaring that the people who did this would hear from us all soon. Well, the perpetrator are still free, alive and well. In the meantime the Washington turd has shifted the attention away from the terrorists and onto the oil he was supposed to secure for his friends at Halliburton.

There were no attacks on US soil by Islamic extremists for more than 7 years during Clinton's administration. To think that Bush's policies have made the US more safe is a delusion. Think of the growing numbers of extremists who hate the US, the lack of security at ports, and the patchwork of ineffective security at airports. There were only a few terrorists back in 2001 determined to strike at the US. The number has grown, the threat has grown, and the US is far less safe. We've just been lucky lately.

i think they have a better eye on the skys.... that is about all. They still dont have a good handle on imports- cargo ships....

Just because nothing has happened again- they say we are safer... but i am very doubtful. I think that they need to work on emergency prepareness- not only at the state level- but the towns and even companies.

stricter imigration laws- there are enoughh prople here alreday- and not enough jobs....................

Yup, the major terror warriors are captured or dead and their fight is in europe and islamo areas, but not here and we are safer. We've only seen jihaicrats bosting imaginary new terrorist allies, but not in reality. They lie like a rug.

Beach Bum, typical to blame your own country for creating problems that have been escalating for thousands of years before the U.S. (as we know it today) even existed.
