We don't know. the earth's temperature was hotter thousands of years ago before life roamed on the planet. Like last year's hurricanes, everyone said it was because of global warming, but this year we have had way fewer then last year. So, global warming is not the answer.

Water levels rise , tropical storms become more powerful and happen more frequently . Rent the movie " The Day After Tomorrow " . It just will not happen as fast as it did in the movie .
