If nothing slowed us down, we'd already be everywhere we wished to be..

So, your question is summarized as "Is life equal to life?"

Yes of course there are. The problem is likely to be that what you wish for, what you think you want in your life isn't actually in your best interests.

Life has a way of stopping us, if we regale against life, life regales back against us. Too often we are all in too much of a hurry to get somewhere else, instead of staying here in the present with ourselves.

It is not about the external world but about our internal world. Often we are driven by fear, but not necessarily a fear we can feel. Sometimes our defences are so strong, we can shut it out, but other defences stand between our conscious world and that fear.

The logical mind is a good example, by working everything out in our head it can help make us feel safe and so we act upon it, shutting out or ignoring all the warnings that life throws up at us.

If the storms of life are raging all around us, sometimes the hardest thing to do is to do nothing, to stay here in the now, in the present and just be ourselves.

If we listen to what life is telling us doors will open, ignore it and the doors all begin to slam shut.

Yep, its that old classic money.
I need building materials to continue a project.
I just have to wait until i can afford them.
If it was not that it would be some other thing, it always is.
That's Life!

i can relate to that so putting this thing in perspective, i think the only thing standing in our own way in life is ourselves - for me its my laziness and probably other things.
Sometime though there are outside influences that can stand in our way like time, circumstance and even plain old bad luck! either way life goes on and changes without us noticing

There are always obstacles to be found if you are looking for them and solutions as well. You merely have to choose how you want to look at life.

"You've left me no choice
but to go inside and rebuild what's broken.
Too much, too far, too late to lie down now.
I must arm myself to fight you
by making weapons out of my imperfections.
It's all I have left. There's no other choice.
I'm shameless, nameless, nothing, and no one now.
But my soul must be iron for my fear is naked.
I'm naked and fearless."

"If I let you, you would make me destroy myself
But in order to survive you, I must first survive myself
I can sink no further, and I cannot forgive you.
There's no choice but to confront you,
to engage you, to erase you.
I've gone to great lengths to expand my threshold of pain.
I will use my mistakes against you.
There is no other choice.
Shameless now. Nameless now. Nothing now. No one now.
But my soul must be iron,
'cause my fear is naked. I'm naked and fearles, and my fear is naked."

"Something has changed in me which cannot be reversed,
something taken which cannot be replaced.
I've stomached the pain, caustic and burning,
and I no longer fear it, and it doesn't control me.
When you've lost everything, there can be no more loss.
And I have humbled for clenched struggle."

"I'm shameless now.
I'm nameless now.
nothing now.
no one now.
but my soul must be iron, cause my fear is naked.
I'm naked and fearless, and my fear is naked."
