Because she was in Bay Watch

Pamela Anderson simply isn't someone that most people find credible.

After building her entire career around behaving like a dumb blonde and selling herself on her looks alone, people have a hard time believing that she has a well-reasoned argument supporting any subject, let alone the delicate issue of animal rights.

Plus, in general, it's easy for most regular folks to dismiss the opinions of those in Hollywood because they come across as rich interlopers trying to tell other people how to run their lives, even as they themselves get caught up in embarrassments that most ordinary people wouldn't be.

Pam's romantic connections, from Tommy Lee to Kid Rock, don't exactly suggest a stable, well-reasoned person in her own choices, either.

PETA would be best served getting a good scientist to back their argument. But then they wouldn't generate all the free publicity that someone like Pamela Anderson does.

Because Pamela has a single digit IQ and PETA are a bunch of lunatic fringe extremists on the ragged edge over whether or not chickens were treated properly before they were eaten. And of course because alot of us neanderthal carnivores understand as PETA does not seem to that as much as they complain about animal treatment if we ever become a completely vegetarian society it will lead to the most heinous wholesale slaughter of animals since the days when they used to use real pigeons for recreational target shooting. It is after all common sense,we would not be able to have animals who contribute nothing vying with us for our food supply therefore while dairy cattle might be kept every domestic cattle alive would have to be slaughtered if they weren't part of that dairy operation. And without hunting to keep the numbers down many animals in the wild would have to be periodically culled en masse to keep their populations in check, and you can forget about sparky the dog, with billions of humans to feed it's only a matter of time before he has to go too. But hey PETA makes good money and gets to kill all the puppies in their shelters so who cares.

Well, I think that PETA and animal rights is something that everyone needs to pay attention to and not only preach, but practice. As far as people not listening to Pam A, I think it's because she has a label on her that says something other than Animal Rights Representative...something more basic and relating to visual senses. It is too bad that so many people get stuck with labels that they will have for the rest of their lives...but I guess in a sense it's their fault. They created their image...or at least permitted it.

maybe because she presents herself like trash. She might be taken more seriously if she put some clothes on. I understand that she is speaking up for animals, but in this world, people judge you on how you present yourself. If a hooker walked up to you on the street and expressed her concern to save something, would you listen?

People wouldn't listen to Jesus Christ himself if he came down to earth and said "Stop wearing fur!" let alone Pam Anderson.

People are stupid, and don't care about anyone but themselves. It's such a travesty when a woman has an abortion, but it's okay to murder a helpless animal for it's fur or meat. Hypocrites.
