Manga (漫画, Manga?) is the Japanese word for comics and print cartoons. Outside of Japan, it usually refers specifically to Japanese comics. As of 2006, manga represents a $5 billion global market.[1] Manga developed from a mixture of ukiyo-e and foreign styles of drawing, and took its current form shortly after World War II. It comes mainly in black and white, except for the covers and sometimes the first few pages, and in some Animanga all the pages are colored. Popular manga are often adapted into anime (Japanese for animation) once a market interest has been established. (Manga is sometimes mistakenly called "anime" even when not animated.) Adapted stories are often modified to appeal to a more mainstream market. Although not as common, original anime is sometimes adapted into manga (such as Neon Genesis Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop).

some manga are available in colors(no longer likely shall we merely say that). to no longer many. i think of that its often black and white because of the fact the manga are thick!~ think of how plenty that could value to put in colour.

Did it even occur to you to go and look at some and find out? Type "manga" into Google image search and it'll soon be obvious that it isn't all black and white.

Some are some are not. Usually the cover is color. Others have special editions that will have a colored page. It depends on the way it is published alot of the time.
