No not really. The believe of marxism came after he had gone away. Lenin created Marxism from marx's writings, along with his own banter. So no Marx cannot be a Marxist. Sorry

No. That's like saying is Christ a Christian? Peole that agree with Marx teachings are called Marxists. Marx wasn't a Marxist because he was the originator of that philosophy.
