I have a hard time sleeping at night and I was just wondering if this method is true.

Yes it has tryptophan in it like turkey. Milk will also give you more or vivid dreams. I like to drink Sandman Tea by Stash or Sleepy Time Extra tea w/Valerian by Celestial Seasonings. You can add some milk to it too.

Warm milk can help people sleep because it contains tryptophan. This amino acid triggers the release of the hormone serotonin, which causes sleepiness.

I say yes and above give some reasons why. But, I have found a cold Beer or glass of wine @ room temp. works better. Now, if you under 18?? Go drink your milk and go to bed! *>*

Yes it is, unless you are Lactose Intolerant. A turkey sandwich would work in theory as well because they both contain tryptophan, which is what relaxes you and makes you sleepy because it triggers the brain to release more serotonin.

yup, it has a chemical that triggers when heated that acts like a sedative. the same thing is in turkey. That's why you always feel tired after a feast where turkey is the main course.

Yes because one of its components is a precursor for serotonin which induces sleep. I think it's the lactate in milk.

I'm sorry. warm milk only rotts inside your stomach lining. Drink camomile tea...works great
