Sure, anything is possible. A person, can direct negative energy at you, causing all sorts of problems, that can be considered a "curse"... that is all a curse is. I'd say don't try it though, it's like magic and, that stuff is dangerous.

There are certain magicks that allow cursing, but it's generally a very bad idea. The threefold rule states that any magick you perform comes back on you threefold, whether good or bad. Only a moron -- or someone really bent on ruining someone else's life -- would put a curse on another person, keeping this rule in mind.
I knew a woman once who was cursed. Believe me, when you're cursed, you know it. It plagues you. This particular woman had a very malevolent spirit sent after her. It actually physically harmed her a number of times. Luckily, there are also ways to break and remove curses.
Of course, that is the "bubble bubble toil and trouble" stuff, as you call it. As for "other kinds" of cursing, I think it's all a manner of negative energy. If someone directs some negative energy at you, I'm sure it could very well effect you. But it's not a true curse.

Bad things happen in life. If you really dislike someone and 'curse' them, then you may want to take credit for any bad things that may happen to them. But then how do you explain the fact that every single person experiences some misfortune or sadness at some point in their life? If one says we are all cursed then fine. But can some be more cursed than others. Well, what one believes is real to that person. But it can't stand up as being fact, no.

Sometimes it is the BELIEF in curses and hexes that makes them seem to "work". A belief in the hex may cause a person to have a psychosomatic illness in the form of say , headaches for instance. Once the person realizes this, they may find their headaches go away.
Sometimes an occultist will take advantage of a situation, and claim to be the cause of someone's misfortune. Example: someone dies, the occultist will claim they had put a hex on the person and caused it, even though they never did. People will believe it though, and fear the occultist has some kind of power. Perhaps this person told your mom she put a curse on her and took credit for something bad that happened anywa. Some occultists call this "glamor" or "lesser black magic". What it really is, is just plain lying.
It's rare that anyone who claims to be in the occult can actually produce results. A Christian who has Jesus has nothing to fear from spells and hexes. I occasionally get an email from someone who says they've hexed me and I'm going to go insane or die, etc, but they never succeed.
If you're going through a "bad patch", don't worry. These things happen to everybody. Sometimes it's how we live our lives. I know of one man who thought he had bad luck, because he was always in trouble, and al his friends and assciates dies. It was John Dillinger! If he had lived his life different he wouldn't have had "bad luck".

I'm pretty sure its possible because I think I'm the victim of it. No matter how hard I try I can never get anywhere. If I have a stroke of luck, it is followed by something that is twice as bad as it was good. And, I find this amusing, once I found a flyer on my door from a Madame Rosa who was touting her ability at curse removal. I wouldn't have thought anything of it except that I was the only one on the block who got one! Guess I should have called her. By the way, anyone out there that wants to remove it.........Please DO!

I do not believe in curses at all. I believe in order for the power to have any power you must believe in them. Everyone has a streak of bad luck in there time. But it always gets better. If it does not then that person may not want it to get better. You are the only that determines how your life will play it self out. People can influence you but you are the only that can make the decisions.

The only way a curse can come true is if all parties, the person cursing and the person being cursed, both believe in it fully.

no. it's not possible for someone to be cursed. but they do say that curses only come true if you believe it. i know from experience. at first i used to think i was cursed because it seemed like nothing was going right for me in my life. i was told by my mum that while she was pregnant with me, my aunt's mother-in-law cursed her, saying that i was going to be a troublemaker and that i'll always be blamed for things. she was only right with one thing, that i'd be blamed for things, but that comes to an extent. im not always blamed for things, but it does happen a lot. but the way i see it is as a coincidence because i just so happen to have two sisters and it's always tough being the middle child. once i stopped believing in curses, good things happened followed by bad things, but at the same time that wouldnt be considered as a curse.

you can feel cursed sometime, I know I have, but what really makes a difference in our life is how much we allow others to negatively affect us. Maybe it is not a real curse, but people projecting negative energy our way, in the form of a dirty look, rude comment, ect. We have the power to resist. really having a sense of self efficacy can really do wonders for how we work in the world.

Its all in the mind, it can play tricks on you making you feel that a curse is upon you or that your curse is working on someone. But the fact remains its NOT TRUE. Its just a virtual state of mind. Don't bother or waste your time on theses things.
