Outer-space as in the Vast Cosmos where there is No Atmosphere to sustain Life or do you mean on a planet out there somewhere in Outer space. First - - - a challenge, define life - - - were you aware there are scientists who have argued that there are flames that 'act intelligently.' And what about the soul, many scientists argue, convincingly that the essence of our being is an electromagnetic field much like that episode of the Original Star Trek wherein an 'intelligence' was a cloud of iridescent light. Thus there could be souls adrift in space seeking a congenial planet. On a less esoteric plain - - - if there are planets out there in the Universe I would say the odds are likely that life is out there. Peace....

It’s a fair question and you could get some interesting answers, pro and con. However, you really cannot expect people to provide proof (not scientific proof, anyway) because there isn’t any, pro or con.
First, it is impossible to prove that there is not life because we know there are planets where life theoretically could exist and, even if we unaware of such planets, too much of the universe remains unexplored and unknown.
Second, there is no proof of such life. Proof is about knowledge - not knowledge used in the sense of what we think we know, or feel, or believe, but in the sense of empirical scientific evidence that is independent of what people think.
Today, everyone takes plate tectonics for granted because it so obviously explains much of what we observe in terms of continental drift, earthquakes, volcanoes, and geomorphologic processes like the formation of mountains and the Grand Canyon.
Before the 1950’s however, almost no one, including most geologists, took it seriously. But the evidence became so overwhelming that, in a very short time, even those who thought differently, accepted it.
Proof of extraterrestrial life has to be equally powerful. If and when we discover such evidence, from that time forward, every human born will grow just assuming that people always knew about it. We didn’t grow up wondering whether the earth was flat or round. Maybe future generations will grow up never wondering whether there is extraterrestrial life or not.

i have no proof but i think it would be very arrogant to assume we're the only life in this vast universe.

I think that there has to be, but I don't have proof except the anthropomorphic principle.

NASA are trying to get in touch with them by all means, but, up to this moment, I don't think they were able to communicate with somebody out there.

If there is a God in heaven there is life elsewhere on this mudball of a planet.
