you just have to think that maybe someone in that accident wasnt paying attention to the road, but you on the other hand are going to be very cautious when driving, so your chances well decrease immensely. just stay focused and what happened to them was in the past, bad stuff happens but you have to keep on truckin....

First of all - you need councilling for what you saw, seeing somebody else die, is a very traumatic experience for anyone that goes through it, and for those of us that deal with it everyday find that although the trauma lessens each time you deal with it it never completely goes away.....so please ask for your parents to take you to some councilling sessions, its probably a good idea if they do as well, particularly your dad......(men tend to suffer more when it comes to things like this and they suffer in silence thinking they have to be strong for the rest of their family.) Also try and think of it as a learning experience for yourself, (as in if you do something behind the wheel that you know could cause harm to others then try not to do it.) Bear in mind though not all drivers are at fault when involved in an accident, sometimes it is the fault of another party, that wasnt injured......And just endever to be aware of everything you and others do on the road, be careful , stick to the speed limits and take note of all road rules....In the long run i think you will be fine, good luck.

Accidents happen everyday. You can get killed just about doing anything in this world. So don't be scared of cars, it wasn't the car it was what the people did. Driving is a way of life, don't think that the rest of us think about it, because we do

Get alittle counseling..it won't hurt and it is better than you driving on the road and freezing up and maybe causing an accident yourself..driving is really safe.if we all keep in mind the other guy..you can do it good luck to you sweetie!!(maybe also give yourself sometime, it has been not that long for you since this happened and you are young yet)

I understand. The same thing happened to me, I saw a man run under a diesel and it took his head off (motorcycle).

The best thing to do is just give it time. I know you want to drive, but maybe waiting is better. It would suck if you started driving and had panic attacks because you didn't allow yourself to recover from this.

You need to know and tell yourself that that was THEM and not you. Also, take any lessons to be learned from the accident (excessive speed, alcohol, drugs, road rage) and learn from that and tell yourself you will not repeat those mistakes.

Accidents are just that, ACCIDENTS...no one plans them and if you are safe and alert, odds are, you'll be just fine.
