It is the DTSi which is more fuel efficient than the conventional single spark engine. Because it is the twin spark plug digitally controlled to give the right spark at the right time, thus ensures complete combustion of the fuel and it also helps in controlling the exhaust because the gas coming out of the exhaust is completely burnt and free form HC.

DTS-i stands for Digital Twin Spark ignition, which uses two spark plugs to achieve optimum combustion of fuel. This system provides better efficiency and power (as claimed by Bajaj). The difference is apparent in the bike due to this technology as it does give extraordinary fuel effiency.
